guide to Prestwick Town.
Prestwick is located
on the West Coast of Scotland and is a neighbour to
Ayr and Troon. With plenty of guest houses, hotels
and restaurants.
Prestwick is an ideal choice for holidaymaker's
and day visitors. Situated in the heart of Robert
Burns country Prestwick has many places of historical
interest itself. Prestwick Old Course where the first
Open Golf Championship was played, Bruce's Well and
the Salt Pans. (See the history section)
Take a walk along the beachfront and
enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the west
coast (as seen above).

The Academy will be going through some major changes
starting this year. The old English block along with
all other blocks will be demolished over the next
couple of years. The first to go will be the Geography
block. Here the construction of a new three storey
school will start.
I will be placing regular images of the new build
and indeed the demolition of the current school. The
new school is a badly needed! But I will not be the
only one who has a lot of memories of the old school.
I will do my best to keep all the ex - academy pupils
of years gone by updated with the latest news and
images.
