About this deal

These strands of filament are more of an annoyance than a problem, though; you can easily remove them with a sharp knife. FlashForge Adventurer 4 review: Verdict While the Adventurer 4 isn't the cheapest printer on the market, it is a very good choice for beginners. Thanks to the enclosed design of the machine, the printing area stays free of dust, temperatures are better regulated, and fumes are nearly non-existent. The high build quality and self-leveled build platform make this printer ready to go out of the box, aside from potentially needing to calibrate the nozzle.

With the integrated camera, the 3D printing can be monitored remotely or recorded as a time-lapse video.Getting started with the printer probably could have been smoother had I watched any videos or researched first.

Small Business - produce samples in small scale production with the Flashforge Adventurer 4 3D Printer The latest addition to the FlashForge USA portfolio is the Adventurer 4. Intended as a successor to the previously launched Adventurer 3, the single extruder FDM system comes complete with several feature upgrades that make it an iteration worthy of attention. Last but not least, the Adventurer 4 is controlled via a 4.3-inch touchscreen situated on the front panel. This intuitive interface makes navigating the Adventurer 4’s menus a breeze. The FlashPrint software also allows you to connect to multiple 3D printers and send a print file to all of them at once. That’s a useful feature if you are serious about printing and want to produce multiple prints at once, but it doesn’t allow for multiple users or clients, so it will be of limited use in a school or other multi-user environment. If you need more control over the printer or want to provide access to multiple users, the Adventurer 4 can work with two cloud printing services — Polar 3D and FlashCloud, Flashforge’s own cloud printing service. These are better options than FlashPrint for classroom or office use, but we didn’t test them extensively. FlashForge Adventurer 4 review: Print materialsIs the Flashforge Adventurer 4 a great printer for the experienced? Yes, but so are many others. What the Adventurer 4 offers straight away is the ability to begin printing with almost no knowledge of the necessities to get started. Now, will the prints that I know how to create and adjust with my limited knowledge using this printer win any awards? No. But could they if I took the time to learn the minutiae of this hobby and the printer? Yes. The nozzle can be exchanged in no time without tools (0.3 mm / 0.4 mm / 0.6 mm). The maximum printing temperature is 265 ° C. The nozzle heats up to 200 ° C in just 60 seconds. There’s also something to be said about the new filament spool holder installed into the side of the printer. The material bay has been expanded to fit 1kg spools with ease and even has its own transparent door. We felt a lot more confident commencing large overnight prints knowing we had ample ammunition in the chamber. Finally, you can send the file to the printer and start the print, either by saving it to a USB drive or sending it over the local network. For the latter, you can observe the print in progress through the camera built into the Adventurer 4, albeit only at a rather low 640 x 480 pixel resolution. This camera can also capture time-lapses that are saved on the printer, but again the low resolution makes for grainy videos that don’t really let you see how the print is progressing.
